Dear UWIFT/UWIPP Members and Friends,
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the journey of Utah Women in Film and Television and Utah Women in Production and Photography– the decision to merge our efforts and resources to create a stronger, more unified force in advancing the empowerment and advocacy for women's rights and issues.
After careful consideration and extensive discussions, the leadership teams of both organizations have agreed that by joining forces, we can better serve our members, amplify our impact, and address the challenges facing women in our communities more effectively.
This merger represents a coming together of two passionate and dedicated groups, each with its own unique strengths and expertise. By combining our talents, experiences, and networks, we will be better equipped to achieve our shared goals of promoting gender equity, advocating for pay parity, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
As we embark on this new chapter together, we want to assure you that our commitment to our mission remains unwavering. Our focus will continue to be on educating and empowering women, promoting diversity and inclusion, and driving positive change in society. We understand that you may have questions or concerns about this merger, and we are here to address them. Please feel free to reach out to Renny Grames and Megan Walker-Young with any inquiries or feedback you may have. In the coming weeks and months, we will keep you informed about the progress of the merger and any changes that may affect you as a member.
We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to embarking on this journey together with each and every one of you.We invite you to reach out if you’d like to be involved in the organization in the future, specifically as we reorganize and elect new leadership. Thank you for your continued support, dedication, and passion for our shared cause. Together, we will make a difference.
Warm regards,
